Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity  has built more than 120 homes with the help of over 7,000 volunteers and support from over 608 corporations, churches and businesses.

MUMC has participated in three builds, the latest summer 2007 by providing dollars, labor and in-kind gifts.

Good Samaritan Outreach Center - Toledo

MUMC participates by people providing food, cooking and serving a Saturday Breakfast at the Center every six weeks.  Many families and individuals, homeless and disadvantaged partake of this program.

New Orleans Hurricane Katrina Home Repair Trips

MUMC has led 4 trips to New Orleans/Slidell area to initially gut, and later work on rebuilding homes which were destroyed by the Hurricanes and flood surges.  Approximately20-30 people have gone on each trip.

Collect quarters to purchase farm animals for villages.  Gifts that reproduce more gifts!   So far MUMC has filled an entire Ark with multi variety of animals and is trying to do so again.  Join us!

 Providing beautician and manicurist services to clients needing to return to the work force. 

MUMC collect food for area food pantries happens 3 times a year.   Fill a sack, fill a stomach, and fill a heart with God’s love!

Christmas Marketplace at Maumee UMC   Providing Christmas for families in need.    Gives opportunity for participants to shop for food and gifts for loved ones.

Toledo Rescue Gospel Mission – Collect boxes of cereal

Toledo Seagate Food Bank – Collect non-perishable foods

Harbor House – Rehab rooms, build ramps, etc

Mom’s House – Rehab rooms, paint, gardening, etc

Senior Citizen Help – Help with clean-up, repairs, etc.
